At the picturesque Archeus apothecary in Hawke's Bay you will learn how to make your very own natural skincare products including a moisturiser, body butter,  face mask and cleanser.

  • You will use natural and organic ingredients we use to create Archeus products.
  • You will learn about how the ingredients have been used traditionally in beauty and skincare
  • You will learn some of the legend and stories that accompany the plants we work with.

Archeus founder Georgina Langdale introduce you to the joy and fun of making your own natural skincare products. If the weather is good we will also spend some time in the garden where you will get to meet some of the plants that you will be working with.

Everything is provided in the course fee and you will get to take home what you make (worth over $100), along with the recipes you have made.

Address: 96-100 Ballantyne Road, RD2, Poraiti, Napier.

Directions:
These directions start at the big roundabout on Church Road, Taradale.
The big roundabout on Church Road has three roads: Church Road, Prebenson Drive and Puketitiri Road.
Take the Puketitiri Road,
Head up the hill - you will see Fryer Road on your right, then a little cul de sac (on the right) then the next turning right is Poraiti Road. Take that.
Ballantyne Road is the SECOND LEFT off Poraiti Rd. It is about 3kms along the road.
Ballantyne Road wiggles around a couple of corners, down a dip and up a steepish hill.
Go past Longview Road.
You will see the NO EXIT sign for the end of Ballantyne Road.
Go past that sign and our gate is just down that hill on the RIGHT.
The letterbox has 96-100 on it and I will have a workshop sign sitting on top of the letterbox.
There is plenty of room for parking on the lawn in front of the apothecary or on the drive (which sweeps on round to the house).

That sounds like it is miles away but actually it is only about 7 minutes from the big roundabout!
