About this scarf
Our goldenrod and rosemary scarves are a beautiful blast of sunshine straight from the Archeus gardens.
I used fresh goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) from the garden for the beautiful yellow colour. Plant essences made from oak, rosemary and hawthorn were added to the dye pot and infused into the fabric over a couple of days.
Oak attributes are of strength and resilience, rosemary is a beautiful plant of purification and fidelity and hawthorn is a magnificent heart remedy and has attributes of courage and generosity of spirit.
Goldenrod is used traditionally for staunching blood, aiding wound healing and for urinary tract problems. I love its vibrant intensity of colour. The bees absolutely love this plant and so I was careful to keep some blooms for them to enjoy through to the end of its flowering season.
